Here are 10 ways to take your morning from gloomy to glamorous:
1. Light colors are the right colors.
Bedding is everything when it comes to how you feel when you wake up in the morning. It’s scientifically proven that light or dusty shades have a calming, stress-reducing effect on your state of being. Combined with a sweet pop of color, you’ll get a morning wake-up that’s easy on the eyes, with a little extra oomph for those dreary fall mornings that are almost upon us.
2. Let the morning in.
Open your curtains as soon as you wake up, even if it’s far from a sunny day. Morning light will automatically refresh you, and as an added bonus, has been associated with weight loss and keeping a leaner figure. Use your iPhone, your shower radio, or even your retro record player for the vinyl aficionados among you. Dancing your way out the door is unarguably the best cardio.
7. Pamper yourself.
Make time in the morning for a little spa ritual. Use your favorite soaps, lotions, and bubble bath to feel squeaky clean before starting your day.
8. Wear perfume.
The right scent is powerful. Find a morning scent that sends you on your way, and spritz it around the room. It’ll still be lingering in the air when you come home after work, and your future self will thank you for it.
9. Make time for play time.
Leave a little time to snuggle your loved ones.
10. Take care.
